Allah Has Appointed An Angel In The Womb

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (Salallahu 'Alaihi wasalam)said,

"Allah has appointed an angel in the womb, and the angel says, 'O Lord! A drop of discharge (i.e. of semen), O Lord! a clot, O Lord! a piece of flesh.' And then, if Alla...
he wishes to complete the child's creation, the angel will say. 'O Lord! A male or a female? O Lord! wretched or blessed (in religion)? What will his livelihood be? What will his age be?' The angel writes all this while the child is in the womb of its mother."

Having the garments above the ankles

Having the garments above the ankles

Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri: AbdurRahman said: I asked Abu Sa'id al-Khudri about wearing lower garment. He said: You have come to the man who knows it very well. The Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_ him) said: "The way for a believer to wear a lower garment is to have it halfway down his legs and he is guilty of no sin if it comes halfway between that and the ankles, but what comes lower than the ankles is in Hell. On the day of Resurrection. Allah will not look at him who trails his lower garment conceitedly. " [Sunan Aboo Daawood, Book 27, # 4082; authenticated by Sheikh al - Albaanee in Saheeh Sunan Aboo Daawood, Vol. 2, p. 776, # 3467]

The Grave

When ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan (ra) stood by a grave he would weep until his beard became wet.

It was said to him, “You remember Paradise and Hell and you do not weep, but you weep because of this?”

He said, “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘The grave is the first of the stages of the Hereafter; whoever is saved from it, whatever comes afterwards will be easier

for him, but if he is not saved from it, what comes afterwards will be worse for him.’”

And the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I have never seen any scene but the grave is more frightening than it.”

(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 2308; Ibn Maajah, 4567; classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1684).
